Can someone just enroll in a college preparation class? Algebra or writing for example?
Many adult education programs offer college preparation classes as part of their regular offerings. A student enrolled in one of these classes is NOT considered a Maine College Transitions Program student for purposes of the grant. The student would be considered an adult transitions student for subsidy or AEFLA reporting purposes.
At OOB/Saco Adult Ed, many of our academic classes have open enrollment, so you can still join the class later in the semester, even if the class has already started. We are able to do this by giving all our academic students an entry interview with Liis Nigol, our Student Services Coordinator. She will asses your skill levels which will allow us to tailor the class to your needs. Call for your no cost appointment at our Academic wing, The Saco Learning Center, (207) 282-3846 or our main office in Old Orchard Beach, (207) 934-7922 or email email@example.com
