POLICIES
NOTE NEW REFUND POLICY:
Credit Cards have been subject to $1.99 fee per class when registering and those fees will now be non-refundable as of 2/24/2020.
OUR GUARANTEE
We strive to offer educational programs of the highest quality. If, after the completion of a course, you feel that the quality was unsatisfactory, you may request a refund as explained in our Policies.
REGISTRATION & FEES
All fees must be paid in full at the time of your registration. Credit Cards are subject to $1.99 fee per class and are non-refundable as of 2/24/2020. Academic classes are free and students are registered through an appointment. Call (207) 282-3846. We have open enrollment in many academic classes so you can often begin well after the start date. All academic courses are open to persons age 17 and older.
Academic classes are at NO cost.
Class descriptions indicate materials students need to purchase or any fees payable directly to the instructor-otherwise materials are included in the course fee. Request materials lists or directions when registering or click here to view them.
Note: We recommend you not purchase materials until you know your class is a ‘GO’. You can check our ‘GO’ list on line or give us a call to check on the status of any class you are registered for.
STORMS & SCHOOL CLOSINGS
If regular day school classes are canceled, then ALL (day & evening) Adult Education classes are also canceled unless they are online. We will contact you with class rescheduling information the following business day whenever possible. Make sure to check our WEATHER CANCELLATIONS & OFFICE HOURS whenever you need up to date info.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
We reserve the right to cancel classes, reschedule them, or change instructors when necessary. Courses with insufficient enrollment will generally be canceled one to five business days prior to the class start date. We notify all registered students, by phone or email, of any changes whenever possible. When a class has already filled or canceled you will receive a full course fee refund. Credit card fees are non-refundable as of 2/24/2020.
PLEASE do not buy materials for a class unless you know it will run. Check our class ‘Go’ list online.
REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS
In order to receive a course fee refund, notify our office seven calendar days prior to the course start date. To request a course fee refund or credit, because the course content was unsatisfactory, please provide a written request to our Director, stating the reasons for your dissatisfaction within 10 days of the course completion date for consideration.
Course fee refunds are not an option on or after the start date of a course or when the course is listed as nonrefundable. If an online option is listed for a course in case it cannot take place in person – all refund, withdrawals and cancellation policies still apply. If the online option was not stated and the class is changed to an online venue – then refunds would be allowed.
If a course fee refund request is granted by the Director, and within three business days of the course start date, all materials fees owed to the instructor will be retained. Credit card fees are non-refundable as of 2/24/2020.
CREDITS
Course fee credits, instead of refunds, are given when your request is within six calendar days of the course start date. A credit placed on your account is good toward the cost of any of our course fees for up to one year from the issue date.
If you request a credit within three business days prior to the course start date, it will be less any materials fees owed to the instructor. NO credits are given on or after the start date of class. Credit card fees are non-refundable as of 2/24/2020 so are not included in credits.
